Man Killed In Route 31 Crash After Car Overturns In Ditch: Police A 56-year-old Columbia resident was killed in a car crash on Route 31 in Warren County on the morning of Monday, Oct. 14, authorities said. At 5:43 a.m., officers responded to the car crash where they found a Chevy Avalanche had overturned, Washington Township police said. A preliminary investigation revealed the Chevy was traveling southbound on Route 31 north when it left the roadway, striking the guardrail and bridge abutment before rolling over into a ditch, police said. The driver of the Chevy was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Route 31 was closed for three and a half hours…

Crash Involving Pedestrian Shuts Down Central Jersey Road, Police Say Police were at the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian in a Monmouth County township, authorities said. Officers responded to the crash on Bethany Road on Monday, Aug. 12, Holmdel police said in a Facebook post at 9:15 a.m.  The crash investigation closed Bethany between Hillcrest and Line roads. Police didn't mention how many vehicles were involved or the condition of the pedestrian.
