Motorcyclist Killed After Being Ejected, Run Over In Route 280 Crash: Police (

A 52-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an early-morning crash on Route 280 in Hudson County, police said. Kyle Silas, of Orange, was heading west on a Fly Wing electric motorcycle when he struck a Ford sedan near milepost 16 in Kearny around 4:35 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Silas was ejected then run over by a Dodge, Lebron said. He died as a result of the accident.

High Winds Wreak Havoc In NJ Leaving Roads Closed, Hundreds Without Power
Wind gusts up to 50 mph were wreaking havoc across New Jersey on Friday, Aug. 9. As of 2:30 p.m., thousands of residents were without power and multiple roadways were closed due to downed wires and related crashes. A crash and vehicle fire partially blocked the Garden State Parkway in Central Jersey, authorities said. Woman Cited For Careless Driving After Overturning Vehicle: Montgomery PD
A driver was given a summons for careless driving after their vehicle overturned in Montgomery Township on Thursday, July 18, authorities said. At 11:58 a.m., first responders were on the scene of an overturned vehicle at Route 518 near Brecknell Way, Montgomery Police said in a release. The driver, a 37-year-old Skillman woman was operating 2020 Mini eastbound on Route 518 when she drifted over the fog line and impacted the trailer of a landscape truck parked along the shoulder, police said. A 45-year-old Easton, PA man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 78 in New Jersey on Tuesday, July 2, authorities said. At 10:04 p.m., a BMW motorcycle traveling eastbound on Route 78 in Greenwich Township struck the back of a 2017 Toyota Camry, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Police were at the scene of a crash in which a car overturned on Route 1 in North Brunswick, authorities said. The two-car crash occurred at about 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 6 southbound near Adams Lane, according to the NJDOT. One of the drivers suffered minor injuries, North Brunswick police said.
