At 12:23 p.m., a Suzuki SUV with one occupant collided with an Infiniti SUV containing five occupants while traveling eastbound on Route 24, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Teenager On Scooter Critical After Jersey City Crash: Authorities A 17-year-old is in critical condition after he struck a vehicle while riding a scooter on the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 27 in Jersey City, authorities said. The crash occurred at Route 440 and Danforth Avenue, near the intersection, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said.  The teenager was transported to a local hospital with apparent life-threatening injuries to his head, Wallace-Scalfione said. He was last stated to be in critical condition, Wallace-Scalfioe said.  The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfioe said.

Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash: Fanwood PD A motorcyclist had to be airlifted to a hospital after a crash in Fanwood on the evening of Friday, Oct. 18, authorities said. At 9:18 p.m., officers responded to a crash at Midway Avenue and Tillotson Road after a motorcycle collided with a vehicle, Fanwood police said in a release. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition, police said. This incident is currently under investigation, with the Union County Police Traffic Unit assisting, police said.
