NJ Transit Driver Assaulted By 7 Juveniles In Paterson
A NJ Transit bus driver was hospitalized following an assault carried out by a group of juveniles in Paterson on Wednesday, Sept. 18, authorities said. An NJ Transit spokesperson said the attack happened just after 4:30 p.m. on the 171 line at the Broadway Bus Terminal. The operator was treated on scene by emergency medical personnel and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation by NJT police.

Man Assaulted In Montclair Road Rage Incident: Police
A 53-year-old Clifton resident was assaulted in a physical dispute stemming from a road rage incident in Montclair on Sunday, Sept. 15, authorities said. At 7:27 p.m., officers responded to Valley Road and Lorraine Avenue on a report of an assault, Montclair police said. A man spat on a woman and assaulted her on an NJ Transit Bus in Newark on Tuesday, Aug. 27, authorities said. At 1 p.m., the woman and the man engaged in a verbal altercation while on the bus at Broad Street and Branford Place, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. A New Jersey fugitive wanted in a deadly train station shooting and a home invasion was arrested in northeastern Pennsylvania, authorities said. A Bayville man was accused of driving while high on drugs when he caused several crashes on the Garden State Parkway before assaulting a construction worker, authorities said. Jonathan Ferro, 21, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 28, a state police spokesperson said. A 32-year-old man was jailed on assault charges after an incident in Maplewood last week, police said. Steven Hemmings, a local resident, is accused of attacking someone at a Florida Street home, and then attacking an officer, on Monday, Aug. 12, Maplewood according to police and charges filed against him. Two men were recently arrested and charged for assaulting another man with a motorcycle helmet outside a bar in Guttenberg in June, authorities said. A 16-year-old Union City resident was arrested at the Regal Secaucus ShowPlace theatre in Secaucus for assaulting a person on the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 7, authorities said.
