Skateboarder Killed After Struck By Vehicle: Barnegat Police
A 36-year-old Barnegat resident was killed after he was struck by a vehicle early Monday morning in Barnegat, Sept. 15, authorities said. At 1 a.m., the driver of a 2025 Honda Pilot told officers he struck a man who was lying in the roadway, Barnegat police said. The man, who was riding an electric skateboard, was ejected from the skateboard and found lying on West Bay Avenue near Sandpiper Road, police said. A New Jersey driver was involved in a deadly three-vehicle crash on I-95 in Bensalem Township, Bucks County on Monday, Sept. 8, at 4:58 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police announced. The Bucks County Coroner identified the 65-year-old Levittown man killed in the crash as Charles Lufkin. Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash that culminated in a dump truck crashing into a home in Howell on Monday morning, Aug. 4, authorities said. At 9:05 a.m., the crash occurred at Lakewood Farmingdale Road (Route 547) north of Oak Glen Road, Howell Township police said. An 82-year-old Barnegat man died days after a two-car crash on Wednesday, March 12, authorities said. At 11 a.m., officers responded to West Bay Avenue and Heritage Point Boulevard and found the crash, Barnegat police said. A 77-year-old Howell Township man is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 on the early morning of Tuesday, Jan. 7, authorities said. At 4:51 a.m., Howell Township police responded to Route 9 and Strickland Road after a driver, who was traveling southbound in the right lane of Route 9, collided with the man, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.
