'Shocking And Disgusting' Racist Graffiti Found In Historic Black South Jersey Borough Residents in a historically Black community in Camden County were upset after racist graffiti was discovered on a fence at a woman's home, officials said. The incident happened in a neighborhood in Lawnside, according to a statement by the Camden County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, Nov. 12. The graffiti included a racial slur and "offensive imagery" spray painted on a fence. Employee Details Hostage Situation In South Jersey ShopRite A ShopRite employee has detailed the situation the brought a major police presence to a New Jersey ShopRite on Saturday night, Oct. 12. A Lawnside ShopRite employee said a couple was arguing loudly around 6:50 p.m. The man was holding a knife to his female partner's stomach, the employee said. Multiple agencies arrived around 7 p.m. One agency brought K9 units, which the employee said helped apprehend the man, who came out on a stretcher, the employee said. Barrington police said only that one person was arrested.

Speeding Pennsylvania Driver, 29, Charged Crash That Killed NJ Grandmother A Pennsylvania man has been charged in connection with a fatal high-speed crash in South Jersey, authorities said. Theresa Karbach, 69, of Cherry Hill, died as a result of injuries from the crash in Lawnside on May 13 at about 9:30 p.m., according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. Anwar Parham, 29, of North Wales, PA, was charged with death by auto, driving with a suspended license and assault by auto, MacAulay said.
