Missing NJ Man Found Dead In New Orleans Died In 'Tragic Accident,' Rescuers Say
A funeral was held on Tuesday, March 22 for a New Jersey man whose body was found in New Orleans nearly two months after his disappearance. Michael Gelfand, a father of four from Jackson, arrived in NoLa for a one-day business trip on Jan. 5, but had not been heard from since Jan. 6. Yeshiva World News said only that the 33-year-old dad "perished in a tragic accident... while on a business trip to the city and was later confirmed to have been involved in a terrible mishap that cost him his life." Anti-Semite Refused Medical Care Because EMTs Were Jewish: Report (

A video showing a Lakewood resident refusing to accept medical care because the volunteer first responders from Lakewood EMS were Jewish, Yeshiva World News reports. "She don't want to talk to you guys," the woman's husband is heard telling the EMTs. "No judio." "If she doesn't feel well you have to get medical help," an EMT can be heard saying. Paramedics were then called to help the women, but they also were Jewish, the outlet said. Former Central Jersey Pilot, 46, Among Three Killed In Michigan Crash
A former Central Jersey pilot among three people killed in a two-car crash in Michigan on Monday was being remembered for his quiet acts of kindness. Yoni Kohn, 46 -- formerly of Edison and Lakewood -- and two others died in the northern Van Buren County crash around 12 p.m. when one car was rear-ended, causing both to roll over, WoodTV reports.
