Six Flags Great Adventure is closing down the world's tallest roller coaster after two decades of thrills, officials said. The Jackson Township amusement park's Kingda Ka roller coaster will be retired, Six Flags said in a news release on Thursday, Nov. 14. Six Flags Great Adventure Resort will celebrate half a century of welcoming guests from around the world to Ocean County. Six Flags Great Adventure will open for the 2024 season on Saturday, Mar. 16, according to a news release. Six Flags Great Adventure Sets Opening Date For New Glamping Resort
Six Flags Great Adventure has set an opening date for the Jackson Township resort's new luxury camping experience. Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa will open on Friday, June 14, and has begun accepting reservations on its website, according to a news release. The "glamping" resort will be in the middle of the 350-acre Six Flags Wild Safari which is home to more than 1,200 animals. Siberian tiger Nadya gave birth to an extremely rare litter of five furry cubs at Six Flags Wild Safari. While most tiger births range from two to four cubs, this uncommon birth is also significant because as an endangered species, Nadya’s litter is equivalent to 1 percent of the world’s wild Siberian tiger population, park officials said. Things are looking up this spring at Six Flags Wild Safari, where three new baby giraffes and other endangered wild animals have been born since last season. The popular drive-through adventure reopens on Saturday, March 19 on the Jersey Shore.
