Officer Will Be In Every Atlantic City School: Should All NJ Districts Have This? (Poll) Atlantic City has a police officer assigned to each school in its district, officials said. The city's government, police department, and school district agreed to put an officer in each K-8 school and two officers in Atlantic City High School throughout the 2024-25 academic year, the city said in a news release. South Brunswick High School Locked Down: Police South Brunswick High School was locked down early Wednesday, Jan. 31 because of an unspecified incident, authorities said. At 8:30 a.m., the South Brunswick School Resource Officer and high school administration placed the school on lockdown, South Brunswick police said. The staff and officer were investigating information they had received minutes earlier. Additional officers arrived at the school and by 8:34 a.m., the student in question was located, police said. High School Locked Down In Central Jersey South Brunswick High School had a "shelter-in-place" on Thursday, Dec. 22 after an unauthorized student from another school district entered the building, authorities said. Police said the unauthorized student was looking for a fight with a South Brunswick student at about 7:55 a.m. School administrations in conjunction with the School Resource Officer placed the school in shelter-in-place while they attempted to locate the trespasser, police said.
