UPDATE: A 46-year-old Ocean County man who went missing near a creek has been found, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. David Wright was located in Berkeley Township along the Cedar Creek, by a search crew on kayaks, reports said. The crash occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 2, on Route 9 northbound near Strickland Road in Howell Township, initial reports said. At least one lane was blocked. Two teenage passengers were killed in a crash in Monmouth County, authorities said.Three other teens, including the driver, were injured in the single-car crash, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey. Police Seek Help Finding Hit-Run Driver On Jersey Shore
Tuckerton Borough police seek the public's help finding a pickup truck driver who allegedly fled the scene of a crash and road rage incident, authorities said. Police are searching for a 2015-2018 black Chevrolet Silverado. The incident happened about 6:17 p.m. on Monday, April 18 on Route 9 at Water Street, police said. The pickup was last seen fleeing south on Route 9. Anyone with information is urged to call Tuckerton police at 609-296-9416.

A 34-year-old man from Ocean County has been sentenced to 16 years in New Jersey state prison for a string of robberies, authorities said. Thomas Jann, of Beachwood, was sentenced on Friday, April 8 according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. A 32-year-old man from Lakewood was killed in a collision on Route 9, authorities said. The crash occurred just after 8 a.m., Wednesday, March 9 on Route 9 at Courtney Road, according to Lakewood police spokesman Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith. Woman, 59, Killed In Jersey Shore Crash: Police
A 59-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. On Sunday, Feb. 20 at 3:53 p.m., Barnegat police responded to Barnegat Boulevard North and Cole Drive for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Police found the driver of one of the vehicles, Alice Toriello, 59, of Barnegat unconscious and unresponsive. Officers performed life-saving measures on Toriello who was transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead, police said.
