Detective Sgt. John Dalton spotted the 2015 Chrysler 200, reported stolen out of New York, at the Riverside Square Mall around 3 p.m., Hackensack  Police Lt. Anthony DiPersia said. Driver, 18, Says Police Impostors Stopped Her Off Rt 208, Fair Lawn Detectives Investigate UPDATE: Fair Lawn police on Friday continued to investigate a Wyckoff driver’s report that she was pulled over by two men posing as police officers. The 18-year-old woman told police that she’d just exited southbound Route 208 onto Plaza Road in Fair Lawn around 8:45 p.m. Monday when she saw overhead lights behind her. She described the vehicle following her as a small car that looked “similar to a Honda,” with front windshield tints, according to a report filed with Fair Lawn police on Thursday. The victim was crossing Plaza Road when she was struck shortly after 2 p.m. by a 2010 GMC van driven by a 57-year-old Hackettstown man who was making a left turn from Morlot Avenue, Sgt. Fair Lawn Girl, 3, Struck By SUV A 3-year-old Fair Lawn girl walking hand-in-hand with her mom was struck Monday afternoon by an SUV driven by a 79-year-old Ridgewood woman, police said. The girl was knocked about 10 feet but wasn’t seriously injured after being struck on Plaza Road around 2:50 p.m., Sgt. Brian Metzler said. The mother, 38, wasn’t injured, Metzler said. Both were in the crosswalk when they were struck by the 2019 Chevy, which was making a left turn from Fair Lawn Avenue west onto Plaza Road south when it struck the child, the sergeant said.
