Central Jersey Firefighters Battle Blaze With Casualties Firefighters in Middlesex County were battling a blaze that threatened the life of at least one of the home's occupants, authorities said.  The fire was reported at 127 Lowell St. in Carteret. About 5 p.m. Tuesday, an unconfirmed report said that CPR was in progress on one fire victim and that a second victim had been located by first responders.
