A 76-year-old Belle Mead resident was injured on Wednesday, Feb. 28 after her vehicle collided with a car driven by a 17-year-old, authorities said. At 3:01 p.m., Montgomery police and EMS responded to River Road near Bridgepoint Road for a motor vehicle crash with an injury, officers said. An investigation revealed a 17-year-old Belle Mead resident was exiting a driveway when she pulled out in front of a 2019 Lexus heading northbound, police said. Pilot Crash Lands At Princeton Airport
A pilot attempting to land at Princeton Airport struck a tree due to gusty winds early on Wednesday, August 9, police said. Montgomery Police responded to the airport just before 9 a.m. for the reported crash and found a single-engine Cessna disabled on Airpark Road, near the entrance. The pilot was attempting to land when a gust of wind blew the plane off its course. The pilot then tried to gain altitude and struck a tree on the south side of Airpark Road, police said. A Somerset County house fire crews say was “stubborn” to extinguish claimed the life of a trapped dog and cleared neighboring homes during the evening on Monday, May 15. The blaze broke out in the garage at 667 Hillsborough Road in Hillsborough Township before spreading to the home around 8:15 p.m., according to a release from local police.
