3 Teens Charged In Deadly Shooting Of Taxi Driver In Somerset County: Prosecutor
Three teen boys have been charged, two of them with murder, in last week’s shooting of a taxi driver investigators say was motivated by robbery.
The first two suspects, ages 14 and 13, of Somerset and New Brunswick, were each charged with first-degree murder, first-degree felony murder, first-degree conspiracy, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and various weapons charges, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said Monday, May 15. The third suspect, age 13, of New Brunswick, was charged with robbery and conspiracy.

Bloodied Suspect Struck Grandmother With Weight Or Statue, Prosecutor Says
The suspect in the killing of his grandmother allegedly struck her with a heavy object, authorities said.
Cyril Lloyd, 26, of Carteret. was charged with murdering the 77-year-old woman, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
A five-pound weight and a statue, both with blood on them, were found at the crime scene, said Brynn Krause, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor.
"They can’t definitively say which item caused the fatal hit," Krause said on Wednesday, May 3. "They should know more once the autopsy is conducted."

A Carteret man has been charged in connection with the death of his 77-year-old grandmother after someone spotted him out in public, covered in blood, authorities said.
On Monday, May 1, at 5:29 p.m., authorities received a 911 call reporting that an individual was seen near Taylor Avenue, who appeared to be covered in blood, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.

South Jersey Man Arrested In 2014 Sexual Assault
A 39-year-old man from Gloucester County has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault that occurred more than eight years ago in Central Jersey, authorities said.
Danny McEaddy, of Sicklerville, was charged with sexual assault, kidnapping, burglary, aggravated criminal sexual contact, criminal restraint and aggravated assault, they said.
McEaddy was arrested on Thursday, March 23, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Robert Hubner of the Woodbridge Police Department.
