A Monmouth County teen was accused of firing a shot and stealing expensive sneakers from a man he met online, authorities said. Giancarlo Nevarez, 19, from the Clarksburg section of Millstone, was charged with first-degree armed robbery, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. Victim Ditched On Roadside After Being Carjacked By Passengers On I-195: Police
Two men are accused of stealing another man's vehicle while they were all driving together in Monmouth County, authorities said. Wall Township police said officers responded to a reported carjacking on Interstate 195 near the interchange with Route 34 at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28. Three men were heading to Asbury Park when two of the men stole the vehicle. There has been an outpouring of community support for a 19-year-old man from Perth Amboy who was killed in a motorcycle crash. Mohammad Abbas of Perth Amboy, a recent graduate of the John F. I-195 Shooting Reported In Monmouth County
A shooting was reported along Interstate-195 in Central Jersey, authorities said. The shooting, along the side of the highway in Upper Freehold, was reported about 3 p.m. An unconfirmed report said the gunshot may have been self-inflicted. Three Seriously Injured When Pickup Truck Crashes In I-195 Mercer County Construction Zone
Two people standing outside their SUV on Interstate 195 in Mercer County were seriously hurt when a pickup truck collided with another truck which then struck the pedestrians, authorities said. The pickup truck driver also was hurt. All three were taken to the hospital, New Jersey State Police said. Allentown Driver, 50, Seriously Hurt In Mercer County I-195 Crash
A man from Monmouth County was seriously hurt in a one-car crash on Interstate-195 in Robbinsville, authorities said. Noel Rosado of Allentown, who turned 50 on Friday, was taken to Helene Fuld Medical Center, New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Rosado was driving a Lexus RC 350 about 9:50 p.m. on Thursday when he ran off of I-195 and into the righthand guardrail, Goez said. The Lexus crossed back over all the lanes near mile-marker 6.9 and ran into a concrete barrier, Goez said. The cause of the crash has not been determined, he said.
