A 27-year-old man from Ocean County has admitted leaving the scene of a fatal crash before fleeing to Mexico, authorities said. Roberto Alcazar-Sanchez, of Jackson, pleaded guilty to knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death on Thursday, Feb. 24, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Serious Crash Reported On Route 9 Jersey Shore
Police, firefighters and EMS crews were responding to a serious crash with injuries on the Jersey Shore, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The two-vehicle crash occurred at about 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 7 along Route 9 at Alexander Avenue in Howell Township, initial reports said. Jersey Shore Man, 44, Indicted In Drunken Utility Terrain Vehicle Crash: Prosecutor
A 44-year-old man from Ocean County has been indicted in connection with the death of another man after crashing a Utility Terrain Vehicle into a lake, authorities said. Stephen McGuire of Howell Township was indicted by a grand jury Thursday on the charges of vehicular homicide in connection with the death of James Grover, 62, also of Howell, in December 2020 in Manchester Township, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. The mishap occurred about 2:30 p.m. Friday near Grand Teton Avenue and Newtons Corner Road in Howell Township, initial reports said.
