Brothers, Ewing Deli Workers Targeted In Deadly Double-Shooting: Prosecutor (Update)
Two brothers and deli workers were targeted in a shooting at their Ewing workplace in which one of them did not survive, authorities said.
Officers responding to the shooting report inside Priori’s Deli at 301 Hillcrest Ave. found the brothers with gunshot wounds around 6:10 a.m. on Monday, June 6, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said in a release alongside local officials.
Both victims were rushed to a local hospital, where Oscar Palacios, 54, of Trenton, was pronounced dead, Onofri said.

A driver and passenger were hospitalized with serious injuries after the vehicle struck a tree in Mercer County, authorities said.
Ashley Williams, 35, was behind the wheel of a 2003 Acura TL heading southbound on Pitman Avenue near Rennie St. in Hamilton when she struck a tree around 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, Hamilton Police said.
The vehicle continued southbound and eventually came to a stop after Williams was ejected, police said.
Her passenger, Cedric Williams, 59, was extricated by the Hamilton Fire Division, authorities said.

A Somerset County woman who set fire to a business sign in Mercer County was charged with arson, authorities said.
Alicia Schmitter, 40, is accused of using a lighter to set fire to an advertisement flag in front of Angie’s Multiservices on the 1800 block of South Broad Street in Hamilton just before 3:10 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, local police said.
Schmitter, of Franklin Park, was seen on surveillance footage walking out of sight before officers found her lying on the sidewalk nearby, police said.

Mildreth Santamaria-Tirado, 40, of Corona, is accused of trying to fraudulently collect $15,000 from a Hamilton man on Friday, April 15, the Hamilton Police Division said.
