Bayville Man High On Drugs Caused Crashes, Fought Road Worker On Garden State Parkway: Troopers
A Bayville man was accused of driving while high on drugs when he caused several crashes on the Garden State Parkway before assaulting a construction worker, authorities said. Jonathan Ferro, 21, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 28, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to multiple hit-and-run crashes near milepost 101.3 on the northbound side of the parkway in Tinton Falls at around 2:18 p.m. Investigators said Ferro was driving a Dodge pickup in the crashes and ran away from the truck when it became disabled. DUI Driver Crashed Stolen Car On Route 1: Police
Authorities have identified the driver of a stolen car that crashed into a utility pole along Route 1 in Central Jersey. Jordan White, 35, of Paterson, crashed on Friday,, June 28, South Brunswick police said. He was seriously injured, they said. White allegedly was under the influence of drugs, police said, and the 2007 Lincoln Town car he was driving was stolen. He was charged with receiving stolen property, driving under the influence, and numerous motor vehicle violations, police said.

A 27-year-old man from Staten Island has been sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison for eluding police, authorities said. Antwan McPhatter was sentenced in connection with an incident that occurred in Seaside Heights on August 19, 2021.
