A former New Jersey investigator who worked with female victims of crimes was accused of having inappropriate and sexual conversations with those victims, authorities said. Guilherme Jamarino, 47, was charged with second-degree official misconduct, Attorney General Matthew Platkin said in a news release on Tuesday, July 30. Rochelle Park police are seeking a retired law enforcement officer to work in one of the township's schools. The recent promotion of Sgt. Chris Bermudez to lieutenant created the opening at the K-8 Midland School No. 1, Detective Capt. James DePreta said. The Special Law Enforcement Officer III would be paid $35 an hour for a part-time 40-hour workweek whenever school is officially in session, the captain said. New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal was quarantining at home following contact with a staff member who'd tested positive for the coronavirus, authorities said Wednesday. Grewal, a former Bergen County and assistant federal prosecutor from Glen Rock, got a positive result in a rapid COVID-19 test but then tested negative in a follow-up, said Steven Barnes, his communications director.
