David Fortin Struck, Killed By Train Authorities have identified the man who was killed by an NJ Transit train in Monmouth County. An NJ Transit spokesperson said David Fortin, 67, of Eatontown, died after being struck by the train at around 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25. Fortin was hit near the railroad crossing at White Road in Little Silver. None of the roughly 110 passengers or crew members on the train were injured, the spokesperson said.
