Daniel McCarthy of East Brunswick previously was charged with robbing a bank and attempting to rob another bank in Toms River on Aug. 22, police said. Suspect Arrested In Jersey Shore Bank Robberies: Police A 68-year-old suspect has been arrested in a pair of bank robberies in Toms River, authorities said. The first was an attempted robbery and minutes later, the suspect allegedly robbed another bank and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
