Telquan Adams, 26, of Neptune Township has been charged with robbery, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.

If convicted, Adams faces up to 10 years in state prison, the prosecutor said.

The 44-year-old victim was en route home from William Hill Sports Book Bar at Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport when he was attacked by Adams and two other suspects, Gramiccioni said.

Authorities did not say how much money the victim won, or how much money was stolen from him.

The robbery occurred on Aug. 29, 2019, near the victim's home on Broad Street. Keyport police found the victim with minor injuries, according to Gramiccioni. The victim's name has not been released.

The investigation is active "with additional arrests likely," Gramiccioni said.

Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Matthew Bogner is handling the case.

Detectives seek help from the public and urge anyone with information about the robbery to call Detective Ramon Camacho of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office at 800-533-7443 or Keyport Detective Kevin Bennett at 732-264-0706. Anonymous tips can be called into the Monmouth County Crime Stoppers line at 800-671-4400.
