A motorcyclist remains on the lam after fleeing from police in Jackson last month, authorities announced Wednesday, Sept. 17.
On Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 11:34 a.m., an officer observed a motorcycle traveling on Frank Applegate Road, going 52 mph, 12 miles over the posted speed limit of 40 mph, Jackson Township Police said.
The officer walked into the operator's lane of travel while raising his hand signaling the motorcyclist to stop and pull over to the left side of the road, police said.

Pedal Problems Force Yamaha To Expand Recall Of 350K+ Golf Cars
Yamaha is expanding its recall of golf car vehicles after the accelerator pedal spring assembly was found to pose a crash hazard.
The recall now affects about 352,000 vehicles, including models sold nationwide between July 2015 and December 2024, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, June 5. The golf cars were sold for between $5,970 and $13,220.

Former Penn State football player Julian Fleming was seriously injured in an ATV crash that killed his girlfriend in Columbia Township, state police announced on Saturday, May 24.
Fleming, 24, was driving a 2024 Yamaha ATV with his girlfriend, 23-year-old Alyssa Boyd, in the passenger seat when a deer jumped into the roadway on Painter Lick Lane around 8:13 p.m. on Friday, May 23, according to the official crash report from Pennsylvania State Police and crash reconstruction specialists.

Motorcyclist, 28, Killed In Route 287 Crash
A 28-year-old motorcyclist from Whitehouse Station was killed in a crash on Route 287 in Bridgewater on Thursday, June 27, authorities said.
At 7:36 p.m., a Yamaha motorcycle driven by Mazen Alnaser was traveling north on Route 287 when it exited the roadway to the left and struck a guardrail, ejecting him, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
Alnaser's motorcycle then continued north and struck the back of a Madza, Marchan said. Alnaser was pronounced dead at the scene, Marchan said.
The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.
