Four young Jewish men were killed and another driver seriously injured after a wrong-way crash on the New Jersey Turnpike early Sunday, Oct. 19, authorities said. Troopers responded around 12:42 a.m. to the crash near milepost 1.3 in Carneys Point Township, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan. Coroner IDs Motorcyclist Killed By Wrong-Way Perth Amboy Driver On PA Turnpike
Officials have identified the motorcyclist who they say was struck and killed by a wrong-way driver on the PA Turnpike Sunday, March 30. Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio identified the biker as John Joseph Sweeney, 50, of Bristol, PA. Sweeney had gone out with a group of five other riders when he was struck by a wrong-way driver, a 24-year-old woman from Perth Amboy, NJ, according to Buglio and Pennsylvania State Police. A 31-year-old Pennsylvania man was killed by a wrong-way intoxicated driver on Route 80 early Sunday, Feb. 2, authorities said. Victor Peters, 45, of Parsippany was heading east in the westbound lanes of Route 80 in a Mercedes SUV in Rockaway Township when he struck a Ford pickup truck driven by Destinn McKnight around 2:20 a.m., according to New Jersey State Police Sgt.
