An intoxicated Toms River man driving on a suspended license has been charged in a motor vehicle crash that killed a 76-year-old man Friday, Jan. 23 on Route 37, authorities said.
Jamie Doyle, 40, was heading west on Route 37 in a white Nissan Maxima when he struck Ronald Bucher, who was heading south on Romana Lane in a Chevrolet Trax, head-on, at approximately 8:50 p.m. at the Romana Lane intersection in Toms River, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

On Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 11:34 a.m., an officer observed a motorcycle traveling on Frank Applegate Road, going 52 mph, 12 miles over the posted speed limit of 40 mph, Jackson Township Police said.
