Lacey HS Shelters-In-Place After Threat: Ocean County Prosecutor Lacey Township High School went into a shelter-in-place Tuesday morning, May 5, following a threat, authorities said. At 7:10 a.m., Lacey Township police received a call threatening violence at Lacey Township High School, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. Out of an abundance of caution, a shelter-in-place was implemented while law enforcement investigated, Billhimer said. There is no credible threat to the students or the public and at 10:05 a.m., the shelter-in-place was lifted and the school was reopened, Billhimer said. Middlesex County Elementary School Victim Of Swatting Hoax: Police An elementary school in East Brunswick was the victim of a “swatting” incident on Monday, June 9, authorities said. At 1:16 p.m., officers received a call from an unknown individual threatening an active shooter incident at Central Elementary School at 371 Cranbury Rd, East Brunswick police said. Officers responded to the school and met with school security officials and an on-scene investigation determined there was no active shooter threat and it was a “swatting” hoax, police said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
