A 20-year-old Lakewood man was arrested following a vehicle and foot pursuit, authorities announced Thursday, Dec. 11. On Tuesday evening, Dec. 9, an officer attempted to stop Ja'Syi Jones after observing him driving a Nissan Rogue on the sidewalk along Ocean Avenue, Lakewood police said. Jones fled onto Regal Court, drove toward a marked patrol vehicle and continued at a high speed through residential driveways, placing nearby civilians in danger, police said. Attempted Murder: New Brunswick Man Arrested For Stabbing, Prosecutor Says
A 29-year-old New Brunswick resident was arrested and charged for a stabbing in Metuchen, authorities announced Wednesday, Dec. 10. At 7:34 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, Metuchen police responded to a home on Durham Avenue and found a 23-year-old Long Branch man with stab wounds, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Metuchen Police Chief Arthur Flahetry, Sr. said. The man was hospitalized for his injuries, authorities said. An investigation determined Peter Fragoso was the man responsible and it was not a random act of violence, authorities said. A woman is facing manslaughter charges after she fled the scene of a fatal six-car crash in Plainsboro that occurred on New Year's Day, authorities announced Thursday, July 31.
