500 Tickets Issued, 30 Vehicles Of Toll Violators Impounded In Single Day At NJ Bridge
Police issued 500 summonses and impounded 30 vehicles of persistent toll violators and users of fake or obstructed license plates, officials said. The Oct. 15 operation was a collaboration between the Port Authority of NY/NJ Police, NYPD, and New York State Police, and more, which also netted six arrests. Two police officers are recovering from injuries after being shot overnight at a hotel in Woodbridge while attempting to track down a homicide suspect. A teenage suspected car thief fleeing police plunged to his death at the George Washington Bridge before dawn Sunday, authorities said.
