Nathalia Warner, of Watervliet, was laid to rest Thursday, Aug. 7, days after she was found unresponsive inside her family’s home and later pronounced dead at Samaritan Hospital. Beloved Army Veteran, Fiancé Remembered As Loyal Protector After Fatal Saratoga Crash A devastated New York family is mourning the sudden loss of a 32-year-old Army veteran and fiancé who was killed in a motorcycle crash. Cody Groat died following a single-vehicle wreck in Saratoga County, on Swaggertown Road in Charlton, on Saturday evening, June 7, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Groat, a 2011 graduate of Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School and proud Army paratrooper, was riding his motorcycle when he veered off Swaggertown Road and suffered devastating injuries just before 6 p.m., deputies said.
