Five soldiers were shot and a suspect has been apprehended after an incident at Fort Stewart, the largest Army installation east of the Mississippi River, late Wednesday morning, Aug. 6. The incident began just before 11 a.m., leading to the lockdown of the installation in Georgia. False Threat Sends Elementary School Into Lockdown: Manalapan PD
An elementary school in Manalapan was placed under lockdown Monday afternoon, June 9, authorities said. At 1:26 p.m., officers responded to Taylor Mills School after receiving a report of a potential threat, Manalapan Township police said. After consulting with the Manalapan-Englishtown School District and their director of school safety and security, the school was placed into lockdown, police said. A lockdown order was lifted at Monmouth University after students were asked to shelter in place for several hours as investigators looked into a threat on campus, officials said.
