Truck Driver Injured In Route 78 Crash:

A truck driver was injured following a crash on Route 78 in Somerset County on Saturday, Dec. 13, authorities said. At 10:23 a.m., a crash occurred between a Toyota sedan and a Freightliner tractor trailer in Bernards Township, Christopher Postorino, a spokesman for the New Jersey State police said. The crash caused the tractor trailer to veer off the road left and strike a guardrail, Postorino said. The driver of the Freightliner sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Postorino said. The crash remains under investigation, Postorino said.

A 28-year-old Piscataway man was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide on Thursday, April 10, after a crash that killed two people last year in Linden, authorities said. A 59-year-old Keasbey truck driver was killed in a crash between two tractor trailers on the New Jersey Turnpike in Linden on the early morning of Tuesday, March 11, authorities said. At 12:11 a.m., a Freightliner tractor trailer, driven by Jose Diaz, was going southbound on the Turnpike on the outer roadway, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A Long Island man was killed when his car crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Donald Butler of Wheatley Heights, died in the crash in Westampton Township on Tuesday, Oct. 15, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said. A road worker was struck along Interstate 295 in Mercer County, authorities said. Troopers responded to the crash at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 on I-295 north milepost 76.4 in Ewing Township. Based on a preliminary investigation, a collision occurred between a Hyundai and a Freightliner box truck subsequently causing the Hyundai to strike a pedestrian road worker, according to New Jersey State Police.
