Funeral Details Released For Highway Patrol Motorcycle Officer Andy Chan: Philadelphia Police
Funeral arrangements have been announced for Philadelphia Highway Patrol Officer Andy Chan, who died earlier this month six years after he was struck by a vehicle in the city’s Holmesburg neighborhood, officials said on Monday, Dec. 15.
Chan passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, according to the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5.

Father, 2 Young Sons Die In NY Fire: Officials
A father and his two young sons were killed in a devastating house fire Saturday night, May 31, in a Hudson Valley, NY town, authorities said.
Shane Munn, 40, and his two sons, ages 12 and 17, all died in the blaze at 876 Pulaski Highway in Goshen at approximately 8:10 p.m., according to New York State Police.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find the building completely engulfed in flames, police said. Munn was found dead inside the home, while his two sons were rushed to Garnett Health Medical Center in Wallkill, where they later died from their injuries, according to NYSP.…

A wave of severe weather has resulted in tragedy as multiple tornadoes swept across the central and eastern United States, claiming at least 28 lives, injuring dozens more, and leaving as many as a half-million without power.

A fundraiser has been launched to aid the family of Jay McChesney, a New Jersey father and flight nurse who died last month at 55 years old.
Jay, of Hillsborough, died on Friday, Aug. 30, leaving behind his wife, Jennette and their three children, Jordan, James, and Joe. Nicknamed an "All American Hero," Jay was a founding member of the Atlantic Air 1 medevac team and was a nurse at Robert Wood Johnson after having spent 24 years serving in the Coast Guard.

Air Force Firefighter, RWJ Paramedic Who Died Of Leukemia Saved First Life At 10
Robert J Conklin III, a New Jersey first responder and Air Force veteran, died on Monday, Aug. 12. He was 39 years old.
Robert's mother, Arlene Savarese, said that he died of leukemia.
Savarese said her son saved his first life at just 10 years old, when he performed the Heimlich maneuver on his aunt.
"The rest of the path was set for him," Savarese said.
Robert went on to serve as a firefighter in the United States Air Force, helping to evacuate Afghanistan in 2021. Upon return to the U.S., he continued his work as a volunteer firefighter and as a paramedic for Robert Wood Johnson.
