Food Network Cancels Popular Show After 10-Year Run
Food Network is closing the cookbook on one of its longest-running staples, canceling "The Kitchen" after more than a decade on the air. The network has ended the Emmy-nominated weekend series after 40 seasons, with the final episode set for Saturday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m. Eastern time, according to Variety. An East Brunswick chef will bring a cooking award home for the holidays after appearing in a new culinary competition series. Maricel Gentile was named a holiday champion on "Buddy's Holiday Recipe Rumble", a competitive cooking show hosted by Hoboken native Buddy Valastro, who's also known as the "Cake Boss."
