Three people were hospitalized, including a driver who police claimed smelled like alcohol, after a crash in Monmouth County, authorities said. Wall Township police responded to the crash at around 5:31 p.m. on Friday, July 5, the department said in a news release on Monday, July 8. It happened at the intersection of Route 34 and Hurley Pond Road near Monmouth Jet Center. Investigators said a 25-year-old Farmingdale woman was driving a 2017 Honda CR-V on Route 34 North. DUI Driver Sentenced In NJ Turnpike Crash That Killed Philadelphia Passenger: Prosecutor
A 32-year-old driver from Philadelphia has been sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison in connection with a crash that killed his passenger in Edison, authorities said. Yvenson Louis, 32, was sentenced on June 12 in connection with the fatal crash that occurred on March 27, 2023, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. A Monmouth County cocktail bar picked up another national recognition after just one year of serving specialty drinks. Esquire named La Otra in Aberdeen Township on its list of 42 Best Bars in America for 2024.
