Stools were spilled throughout a roadway after a truck overturned on the evening of Wednesday, March 5, authorities said. At 9:52 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Easton Avenue and JFK Boulevard after a Mack tractor trailer overturned, the Franklin Township Police Department said. The driver, a 56-year-old Georgia resident, was attempting a right-hand turn from JFK Boulevard onto southbound Easton Ave. when he experienced a mechanical issue with the brakes, police said. Pedestrian Critical After Struck By Vehicle On Route 9: Prosecutor
A 77-year-old Howell Township man is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 on the early morning of Tuesday, Jan. 7, authorities said. At 4:51 a.m., Howell Township police responded to Route 9 and Strickland Road after a driver, who was traveling southbound in the right lane of Route 9, collided with the man, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said. The man remains hospitalized with multiple injuries, Santiago said. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with law enforcement officers, Santiago said.

A six-year-old Central New York boy was visiting his family in Ewing when he died in a massive apartment fire that injured 17 people and left at least 16 without homes, authorities said. Jayden Gotell-Watkins of Baldwinsville, NY, was identified as the victim killed in the Cambridge Hall fire, the Ewing Police Department said in a news release. Car Crashes Into Home: Bernardsville FD
A car overturned and crashed into a home in Bernardsville on Sunday evening, Nov. 3, authorities said. At 11:10 p.m., firefighters responded to the crash on Pill Hill Road and found car partially overturned and into a home, Bernardsville Fire Co. No. 1 & First Aid Squad said. Firefighters were able to stabilize the car and both occupants had minor injuries, authorities said. A New Jersey boy was killed when a tree fell on him in a backyard, authorities said. Lucas Schwartz, 12, was identified as the victim of the Eldridge Avenue incident in Lawrence Township on a GoFundMe page.
