Shots Fired In Franklin Township: Police
Gunshots were fired in Franklin Township on the early morning of Sunday, Sept. 1, authorities said. At 1:15 a.m., Franklin Township Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting gunshots heard in the area of Franklin Boulevard, between Matilda Avenue and Baier Avenue, officers said. Police located several gunshot rounds but said no injuries were reported. The incident is currently under investigation by the Franklin Township Police Department Investigative Division, officers said.

A 50-year-old man has been arrested after police say he set his girlfriend's house on fire in South Brunswick. A fundraiser has been launched to aid the family of Jay McChesney, a New Jersey father and flight nurse who died last month at 55 years old. Jay, of Hillsborough, died on Friday, Aug. 30, leaving behind his wife, Jennette and their three children, Jordan, James, and Joe. A 59-year-old boater was hospitalized after being struck by the propeller of a boat after being ejected from his own and sucked under water in Ocean County over Labor Day Weekend, police said. The Neshanic Station man was heading east on Manahawkin Bay in Long Beach on a personal watercraft when his boat was struck by a 28-foot vessel heading north around 4:35 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Tolls Increase On These 4 Bridges Between NJ, PA For First Time Since 2011
Tolls are going up on four Delaware River Port Authority bridges between New Jersey and Pennsylvania on Sunday, Sept. 1 for the first time since 2011. Students and staff from a New Jersey college center have cracked a hot missing persons case from across the country. The Ramapo College of New Jersey's Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center (IGG) worked in collaboration with authorities in St. Louis County, MI, to successfully identify “St. Louis John Doe,” who had been missing since 2021.
