Two teens turned themselves in to police after they were wanted in separate shootings in Atlantic City, authorities said. Ashan Jackson, 19, surrendered at Atlantic City police headquarters on Monday, Sept. 2, the department said in a news release on Thursday, Sept. 5. Man Dies By Suicide After Shooting Woman In Atlantic County Home, Authorities Say
A Pleasantville man shot a woman before he died by suicide, authorities said. Pleasantville police responded to a domestic violence report at a home on South Third Street at around 4:05 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. When officers arrived, they tried to make contact with the people inside but several shots were fired. A 26-year-old woman left the home with several gunshot wounds. A deadly double-shooting is under investigation in Trenton, authorities said. Jonathan Applegate, of Trenton, was killed in the shooting on Tuesday, June 11, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri. His age was not released.
