A Manahawkin woman was one of three people killed in a head-on crash in upstate New York, authorities said. Sabrina Surita, 38, died in the collision on Route 34 in Barton on Friday, Dec. 20, New York State Police said in a news release. The crash happened about 45 minutes west of Binghamton. Troopers responded to the scene at around 1:26 p.m. Police found a Toyota Highlander and Chevrolet Silverado collided head-on with each other. A head-on three-vehicle crash in Mercer County claimed the life of a 62-year-old woman and left two others injured late Friday night, Dec. 20, authorities said. The crash occurred at approximately 10:05 p.m. on South Broad Street near the intersection with Hempstead Road in Hamilton Township as snow was falling, the police department said. A Jackson Township man will spend up to two decades in prison for driving a stolen pickup while high on methamphetamine in a crash that injured another man and three children, authorities said. Charles Sharkey Jr., 35, was sentenced to 20 years in state prison on Friday, Dec. 20, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. A Manchester Township woman was killed when her SUV crashed into the woods in Lacey Township, authorities said. Rosemary Pfluge, 72, of Whiting, died in the crash on Saturday, Aug. 17, the Lacey Township Police Department said in a news release. Driver, 83, Killed In 2-Car Crash In South Jersey: Police
An 83-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash in Burlington Township, authorities said Rose Zampino, of Burlington Township, was driving a Mitsubishi sedan north on Route 541 near Kelly Drive at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, when a southbound Volvo SUV struck her vehicle, Burlington Township police said.
