New Britain Man Convicted in Brutal Near-Fatal Stabbing of Neighbor A Connecticut man has been convicted of a violent knife attack that left his neighbor with a life-threatening injury, authorities said.  Felix Arroyo, 66, of New Britain, was found guilty of assault in the first degree after prosecutors proved he stabbed his neighbor on Tremont Street during a dispute on Sept. 5, 2021. The attack caused severe damage to the victim’s liver, according to evidence presented at trial. The verdict was announced by State’s Attorney Christian M. Fire Crews Cut Driver From Overturned Car In Waterford Quick-thinking fire crews rescued a driver Monday morning, Feb. 24, in Waterford following a rollover accident on Route 85 near the intersection of Dayton Road. At approximately 5:45 a.m., a vehicle rolled over, prompting members of Oswegatchie Fire Company 4 to extricate the driver from the car and transfer them into a waiting ambulance, the department said on Facebook. A follow-up call to the fire company was not immediately returned, and the severity of the driver’s injuries remains unclear.
