A Lawnside ShopRite employee said a couple was arguing loudly around 6:50 p.m. The man was holding a knife to his female partner's stomach, the employee said. Multiple agencies arrived around 7 p.m. One agency brought K9 units, which the employee said helped apprehend the man, who came out on a stretcher, the employee said. Barrington police said only that one person was arrested.
