At 4:35 p.m., police responded to Flanders Road for a report of an active brush fire, Mount Olive police said. A passerby extinguished the fire prior to the officer’s arrival, police said. A witness to the incident said a white vehicle was traveling down the road when the passenger threw a lit firework from the vehicle, police said. Pedestrian Airlifted After Crash Outside Morris County 7-Eleven: Prosecutor A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle outside a 7-Eleven in Morris County on the morning of Thursday, July 18, authorities said. At 6:33 a.m., the pedestrian was struck outside the store at 294 Route 206 in Flanders, an unincorporated community in Mount Olive, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. The man was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries, authorities said. The driver remained on the scene, authorities said.
