Squatter Falsely Claimed To Own Two Central Jersey Vacant Homes, Prosecutors Say A Monmouth County man was accused of squatting in two vacant homes and falsely claiming to own them, authorities said. Markies Wells, 39, was given 13 charges, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Thursday, Aug. 15. He's also known as Messiah Law-Elbey and last had a legitimate address in Neptune Township. Forklift Operator, 46, Killed By Police While Wielding Chainsaw In Central Jersey: AG Authorities have identified a Keansburg man shot and killed by police while wielding a chainsaw, along with the officers involved in the Memorial Day incident. Willem Roman, 46, died from his injuries on Friday, June 14. Attorney General Matt Platkin announced his death in a news release on Monday, July 1. Keansburg police were called to perform a welfare check at a home on Seabreeze Way at around 1:07 p.m. on Monday, May 27. Two officers entered the home and found Roman with a running chainsaw, along with several weapons. Investigators said Roman approached the officers with the chainsaw.…

PSE&G's outage map shows 5,341 were in the dark in Burlington County and more than 3,000 in Camden. The majority of the outages were in Maple Shade, Moorestown, Haddon and Pennsauken. In Union County, nearly 1,000 had lost power in Westfield.
