Maryland State Police ID MA, NJ Women Killed In Crash, Virginia Victim Airlifted To Hospital
Two people were killed and a third was airlifted to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash in Charles County, state police confirmed.
On Thursday, police said that Norma Matthews, 81, of Lowell, Massachusetts, and Virginia Licata, 86, of Blackwood, NJ, have been identified as the pair killed in a crash on July 24 that shut down Route 301 for hours.
The other driver, King George, Virginia resident Caitlynn Connell, 28, was also flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to Capital Region Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

Nicholas Schroeder, of Maple Shade, was heading south when his Land Rover ran off the road to the left, struck a metal guardrail, got back on the roadway and struck a GMC SUV also heading south around 12:35 p.m. at milepost 44.4 in Westampton, New Jersey State Police Sgt. DWI Driver In Deadly NJ Bicycle Crash Was Trying To Pass Car In Front Of Him, Police Papers Say
A 44-year-old hit-and-run driver had a toddler in the back of his car when he struck and killed a bicyclist in Salem County early this month, police said.
Douglas W. Nutt, 62, of Upper Pittsgrove, died at the crash scene on Shirley Road after being struck by Deandra L. Brown Palmer, of Swedesboro, around 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, according to two affidavits of probable cause and New Jersey State Police.
Palmer, who had a 3-year-old child in the back seat of his car during the Upper Pittsgrove crash, is accused of recklessly causing Nutt's death and eluding police, police papers say.…
