Man, 33, Killed By Multiple Vehicles On Parkway — And None Of Them Stopped, Njsp Says
New Jersey State Police are asking for the public’s help after a 33-year-old man was fatally struck by multiple vehicles in a hit-and-run crash on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County Friday, Feb. 14.
The crash happened just before 6 p.m., when Jose Cerda-Estevez, of Plainfield, got out of a Honda Pilot that was traveling southbound in the express lanes near milepost 112.8, police said.
After exiting the moving SUV, Cerda-Estevez was struck by multiple unidentified vehicles, all of which failed to stop at the scene, according to authorities. He died as a result.

A confirmed case of measles in Bergen County has prompted an alert from the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), warning residents about possible exposure and urging vaccination.
The infected individual, who recently traveled internationally, visited the Englewood Hospital Emergency Department at 350 Engle Street on Sunday, Sunday, Feb. 9, between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., health officials said.

A lawsuit filed by the son of a man killed in a police shooting against the City of Newark has been dismissed after courts ruled the claim was filed too late, records show.
The case stems from the Jan. 28, 2019 shooting of Gregory Griffin, 45, who was fatally shot by Newark Police Officer Jovanny Crespo during a high-speed chase. Crespo fired into the moving vehicle multiple times, striking Griffin and his passenger, Andrew Dixon. Griffin died the next day.
