A Mercer County Superior Court has ruled (see attachment) that the Saint John Vianney senior can wrestle in this weekend's Region 7 wrestling tournament, after having previously been disqualified due to a bleacher brawl allegedly involving his father last weekend, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice.

The court on Friday, Feb. 28 ruled the NJSIAA denied Knox's right to due process, pointing out Knox was the only person punished for a melee that involved numerous people.

Knox's restraining order was granted after New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association disqualified him Tuesday following a brawl at a wrestling meet in Collingswood over the weekend.

Knox will be going for his 4th state wrestling championship and has committed to attending Cornell.

Video from the wrestling meet showed Knox's father, Anthony Knox, Sr.  running into the bleachers leading to the melee.  The elder Knox was seen being led away in handcuffs, according to a photo from the incident and witnesses. The video shows Knox Sr. being escorted out of the gymnasium.
