The fiery collision happened at 5:50 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, in the area of Route 70 and Airport Road in Lakewood, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Investigators determined that a Cadillac CT5 Blackwing was speeding westbound in the eastbound lanes when it slammed head-on into a Mazda CX5, Billhimer said.
