13K Without Power In Monmouth County As Fierce Winds Sweep Through
More than 50,000 New Jersey residents are without power as winds up to 60 mph sweep across the region Sunday, Feb. 15.
According to the PSE&G outage center, the following areas were in the dark as of 9:15 p.m:
Burlington County: 7,735 customers in Evesham, 2,200; Florence, 930; Mount Laurel, 2,300
Camden County: 5,175 in Cherry Hill, 1,200; Haddonfield, 620; Voorhees, 2,600
Mercer County: 1,232

Cops ID Man Struck, Killed On Route 37 In Toms River
A 56-year-old Ocean County Man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Route 37 on the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 4., authorities said.
At 9:02 p.m., a 2021 Honda Civic driven by a Barnegat man was traveling westbound on Route 37, when it hit Jason Matthews, an Island Heights resident, as he was crossing the roadway, Toms River police said.
As a result of the crash, Matthews was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River where he was pronounced dead, police said.

South Jersey Powerball Tickets Sold At Wawa, Liquor Store Win $50K
Two Powerball players in South Jersey found the perfect way to kick off February.
The tickets, sold in Ocean County and Salem County, matched four numbers and the red Powerball in the drawing held on Saturday, Feb. 1, winning $50,000.

A 37-year-old Manchester man was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Friday, Jan. 17, after stabbing a woman in early 2023, authorities said.
Harry Bray had previously pleaded guilty to attempted murder, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.

Nearly 6K South Jersey Customers Lose Power, Including 'All' Of One Community (Developing)
Nearly 6,000 customers were without power in Ocean County, prompting local authorities to urge residents to report issues to JCP&L as crews work to restore service.
The power outage affected 5,867 customers as of 9:16 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, according to Jersey Central Power & Light's website. The cause of the outage wasn't immediately known.
The outage has impacted 5,213 customers in Manchester Township, representing 19.2 percent of local households, according to JCP&L. Additionally, 473 customers in Toms River and 173 in Lacey Township were also without power.
