A Hamilton Township pedestrian was killed while crossing a busy intersection, authorities said. The 65-year-old man died at the intersection of Nottingham Way and Klockner Road on Friday, Sept. 6, the Hamilton Police Division said in a news release. The crash happened at around 9:19 p.m. Investigators said a 56-year-old Hamilton woman was driving a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe eastbound on Nottingham Way. Police in Franklin Township are investigating after flags were lit on fire on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 7, authorities said. At 8:23 a.m., officers responded to a property on DeMott Lane and found two custom flags, along with the mounting hardware, damaged by fire, Franklin Township police said in a release. Authorities have released few details after a police officer shot a burglary suspect in Monmouth County last week. Police responded to burglary reports in Rumson near the intersection of Avenue of Two Rivers and Shrewsbury Drive at around 4:45 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release. An officer was hospitalized after what was only described as an "overnight incident" in Rumson, a police union said. The officer was recovering at a hospital, the New Jersey State Policemen's Benevolent Association posted on Twitter at 8:21 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6. Rumson police issued an alert at 5:26 a.m. about an investigation near the intersection of Rumson Road and Avenue of Two Rivers. The scene is about three-quarters of a mile from West Park. A man's body was discovered on a conveyor belt at a recycling facility in Monmouth County, authorities said. The body was found at the Republic Services recycling plant in Farmingdale on Wednesday, Sept. 4, a state police spokesperson said. Shots Fired In Franklin Township: Police
Gunshots were fired in Franklin Township on the early morning of Sunday, Sept. 1, authorities said. At 1:15 a.m., Franklin Township Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting gunshots heard in the area of Franklin Boulevard, between Matilda Avenue and Baier Avenue, officers said. Police located several gunshot rounds but said no injuries were reported. A large boat caught fire at a marina in Wildwood, according to reports and social media posts. Authorities have identified the 38-year-old man who was struck and killed by a vehicle overnight in New Brunswick. Body Found Floating In NJ River
Police recovered a body from a New Jersey river early Thursday, Aug. 8, authorities said. Marine Service Troopers were dispatched to the Raritan River and South River in East Brunswick around 7:40 a.m., where they found a man's body floating in the water, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. No further information was provided. The incident remains under investigation.

Small Plane Crashes In Field Near Atlantic City Airport
A single-engine Cirrus SR-22 crashed in a field northeast of Atlantic City International Airport, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The pilot was alone on board, the FAA said. The condition of the pilot was not reported by the FAA. The FAA will investigate.
