A faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the deadly carbon monoxide leak that claimed the life of actress and model Dayle Haddon and critically injured another person in Solebury Township, authorities revealed Saturday, Dec. 28. Haddon, 76, was found unresponsive in a second-floor bedroom of a residence on the 6900 block of Phillips Mill Road Friday morning. A family of two people were without a home and two of their cats died in a house fire in Toms River, authorities said. Firefighters responded to the home on South Gateway at around 9:05 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention said in a news release. No people were in the house during the two-alarm fire. Crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from a second-story bedroom. A South Brunswick family is safe after escaping a fire that destroyed their home. South Brunswick police responded at 7:45 p.m. Saturday to a report of a home on fire at 4 Beryl Court in the Kendall Park section of the Township. Upon arrival, officers and firefighters observed heavy flames at the rear of the home. The homeowner said he was able to get his wife, two sons, and pets out of the home before police arrived. Person Hospitalized After Shed Catches Fire In South Jersey: Police
A person was hospitalized after a shed caught fire in Ocean County, authorities said. Manchester Township police responded to a structure fire on Riverside Drive at around 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, the department said in a news release. Officers found a shed in the side yard of a home fully on fire. Officers evacuated everyone from the house and paramedics took one person to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
