Seventeen people were without homes and a dog was saved after a fast-moving fire engulfed a three-story apartment building in Asbury Park, officials said. Crews responded to the Vita Gardens Apartments at the corner of Atlantic and Monmouth avenues at around 9:04 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, the Asbury Park firefighters union said in a Facebook post. Four Philadelphia men were accused of stealing millions of dollars worth of food and alcohol over several years, authorities said. In a news release on Monday, Sept. 16, New Jersey State Police announced the arrests of 23-year-old Shaun Coleman, 37-year-old Salahudin Reddy, 31-year-old Hanif Tucker, and 26-year-old Rashan Clark-Reddy. Sixteen people from eight different families were displaced and five responders were injured by a fire that swept through Somerville's downtown on Tuesday, June 4, officials said. Firefighters responded to West Main Street for the four-alarm blaze just after 2:30 p.m., the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office said.
